The Royal Photographic Society’s Qualifications and Distinctions are recognised as measures of achievement throughout the world and you should be recognised and congratulated on your work.
Distinctions Manager, Royal Photographic Society
Founded in 1853, the Royal Photographic Society is is one of the world’s oldest photographic societies and the only one to hold a royal charter. Queen Elizabeth II has been the Society’s patron since 1952, before stepping down in 2019 in favour of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
The RPS offers qualifications, distinctions and certificate courses for photographers. The RPS Creative Industries qualifications are aimed specifically at those working in the media, including picture editors, art directors, curators and designers, as well as those within education.
The qualifications and distinctions for the creative industries are judged by an expert panel, comprising Dr Michael Hallett, ASCIQ FRPS, Matt Butson, ASCIQ FRPS, Martin Keene, ASCIQ FRPS, Emma Ward, ASCIQ FRPS, and Dr Ed Smyth, FRPS.
